PeaZip — свободный (GNU LGPL) и бесплатный кроссплатформенный портативный архиватор и графическая оболочка для других архиваторов.
Исходный код программы написан на Free Pascal с использованием Lazarus. PeaZip распространяется для Microsoft Windows 4.x, Windows NT и GNU/Linux как в инсталляционных пакетах (установка для Windows, DEB, RPM, TGZ), так и в портативных версиях, которые не вносят ни каких изменений в операционную систему.

Использование
PeaZip allows to create, edit and restore archive’s layout for speeding up archiving or backup operation’s definition.
The program also features an archive browser interface with search and history features for intuitive navigation in archive’s content, and allows to apply fine-grained multiple exclusion and inclusion filter rules to the archive; a flat browsing mode is possible as alternative archive browsing method.
PeaZip can: handle multiple archives at once, split and join files, compress executables with strip/UPX, benchmark system’s performances performing memory intensive and CPU intensive compression and decompression routines, generate random passwords and keyfiles.
Both for extraction and archiving operations the program allows saving the job definition as command line (for learning or scripting purpose) and having a detailed job log after each operation, aiming to help the users to bridge the gap between GUI and console approach in order to get the better from the two worlds.
PeaZip’s most used functions are also available in SendTo and context menu (Windows) and as .desktop files for contextual menus (GNU/Linux versions).
The interface is customisable for opacity, colors, and icons.

- Pea executable (graphical) from the same author;
- Igor Pavlov’s 7z executable and Myspace’s POSIX port of 7z under Linux (см. 7-Zip);
- PAQ8 and LPAQ executables: Matt Mahoney and contributors;

- GNU strip [2] и UPX
- UNACEV2.DLL 2.6.0.0 (royalty-free UNACEV2.DLL license) и UNACE для GNU/Linux (royalty-free UNACE for Linux license), Marcel Lemke, ACE Compression Software.
Большинство упомянутых утилит может быть запущено как в режиме консоли, так и посредством графической оболочки, имеющей дружелюбный интерфейс
В текущая версия программы обладает следующими недостатками:
- Кодировка UTF8 поддерживается пользовательским интерфейсом не полностью;
- Drag and drop from/to program’s forms is not implemented (в отличие от большинства подобных архиваторов);
- The program prioritizes avoiding interference with underlying processes rather than UI responsiveness, so, especially during long operations, the UI may respond with delay to the user’s interaction, and the native console’s progress indicator for the various utilities is far more reliable than the progress bar displayed by the graphical wrapper.
